Fish Creek-Lacombe Transit Oriented Development

The Fish Creek / Lacombe Station Area has been identified as a Major Activity Centre within the City's Municipal Development Plan. Looking into the future this means the station and surrounding area will become a mixed-use node for new employment, education, shopping, and residential opportunities.

As part of the planning for this future we recently had the opportunity to engage the community in developing an analysis and design concept. Getting this workshop off the ground was a priority this past year and I can't express how pleased I am with both the community involvement as well as the City staff for making it all possible.

With the values established in the workshop we can look to all future redevelopment applications to be guided by a community minded design.
